LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

Hopewell is an independently governed church which regards the offices of elders and deacons as the system of government that Christ has instituted in His church.  Those men who meet the Biblical qualifications and are duly elected by the congregation to serve Christ have the privilege and responsibility to be faithful in all God's house.

Our elders are dedicated to prayer, governance, and the ministry of the word among God's people.  Deacons are recognized as God's ministers of mercy and compassion.

THE ELDERS & THEIR AUTHORITY

Our elders meet regularly to conduct the business of the church.  They lead and oversee our worship services, visit and pray with families, and seek to minister the word of God in all kinds of settings to build up the flock of Christ.  Our elders are also open to help counsel those who need it and help people work through their problems in a God honoring way.
