The National Bible Bee Competition was founded with the mission to engage young people in the memorization and study of God’s Word and provide opportunities to proclaim it through local, national and broadcast competitions.​

In support of this mission, Hopewell Church hosts a local Bible Bee Summer Study group. We meet biweekly for worship, activities and encouragement for registered participants of the National Bible Bee summer study.  We would love for you to join us!

While you can complete the Summer Study alone, there is so much benefit to joining a local Bee! Here are just a few:

• Meetings provide reinforcement of concepts being studied in the Discovery Journal
• Encouragement helps you and your child persevere throughout the summer
• Study helps and tips from the veterans help your child know how to study for the Nationals test
• Fellowship grows lifelong friendships with like-minded believers.

What can you expect?

• We meet biweekly in Ashland, Ohio on Fridays at 10 a.m. (First Baptist Church,1233 US-42 Ashland, Ohio).
• Our meetings open with announcements, worship and prayer
• After splitting into age divisions, we play games, sing songs, learn chants and more to reinforce the material in the Discovery Journal
• Parents (both moms and dads!) are strongly encouraged to be involved
• Most families pack a sack lunch and stay for an afternoon of fellowship and freestyle play
