The Hopewell Campout is one of the greatest fellowship events of the summer. We want you to join us as we have a blast playing games, talking theology, and enjoying one another's company.
DATE: July 15-17th
LOCATION: Camp Conger, Willard Ohio
DATE: July 15-17th

REGISTRATION
We expect that we will have A LOT of people participating in the campout. So it will be important to get an accurate head count for who will be attending. This will be crucial for determining food, sleeping arrangements, etc. We will send out a registration / survey soon. Your prompt response is appreciated.
DONATIONS
The church has put down the money to cover some of the expenses for the weekend. However, we are requesting that families provide a donation to help defray some of the costs. We do not want money to prevent anyone from participating in this great event. Yet, if you are able, we would appreciate a contribution of some sort.
The askings are yet to be determined, but a rough estimate (based on last year) is as follows:
Full Weekend (Overnight Friday – Sunday)
a. Family - $50
b. Couple - $30
c. Single - $10
One "Day Pass" (For those not staying overnight: Includes Saturday & Sunday lunch)
a. Family - $30
b. Couple - $20
c. Single - $5
As mentioned, money is not a big deal. Come and have crazy fun with us. You need this great time of mixing with God's people.
MEALS
The church will be providing the main course for all meals except breakfasts. Drinks will also be provided (e.g. coffee, water). The congregation provide their own breakfast and sides for the meals (chips, salads, fruits, veggies, deserts).
The meal plans are as follows:
- Friday dinner - Hot dogs
- Saturday lunch - Cold cuts for sandwiches
- Saturday dinner - Pizza
- Sunday lunch - Shredded Turkey Sandwiches & leftovers
A campfire can be started in the designated area if it is needed for breakfast preparations.
An online sign up will be sent out to schedule side dishes in the coming weeks.
We will have cups available, but we would ask that you please bring water bottles so that we can conserve on waste and expense.
Coolers are recommended for any items you need to chill.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Camp Conger offers us a lot of options for sleeping arrangements. Here's a quick rundown:
Families who are staying overnight have a choice
- Men's & Women's Barracks - Bunk beds are provided, but you will need to provide bedding linens such as sheets, blankets, and pillows.
- Tent Camping - If you prefer to pitch a tent, there is an area designated for tents.
- Campers - There is a space for parking a mobile camper. Please note: 1) There is an extra $15 charge per night for these. 2) There is no water hook up.
Of course, anyone is welcome to just come for the day. No one is required to stay overnight.
SHOWER HOUSES
One little perk of Camp Conger is that there are showers available. If you're into that kind of thing, please bring your towels and soap. We will stick with the "showers are optional" policy though.
POND / SWIMMING
Camp Conger has a large pond. Fishing is permitted. We hope to provide swimming (we are required to hire a lifeguard in order to do this; we are currently seeking one). If we secure a lifeguard, we expect to have swimming on Saturday during a designated time.
Of course, there is a basketball court, space for frisbee/kickball, a creek, and a giant elephant petting zoo with rides
(Kidding about that last one. Just wanted to see if anyone is reading this far).
SUNDAY WORSHIP
Our Sunday morning worship on July 17th will take place at the campground (there will be no service at our normal location). If you are unable to join us for the weekend of fellowship, please note the change for worship. We hope you can still join us (and stick around for lunch!).
CLEAN UP TEAMS
With great fun comes great responsibility and an incredible amount of trash. We will be organizing families to do odd jobs, such as take care of the trash, set up for meals, clean up after meals, etc.
